BerksTALKLINE Golf Bowl

BerksTALKLINE's major fundraising activity is the BerksTALKLINE Golf Bowl, an 18-hole indoor miniature golf tournament, held annually in January. Golf Bowl 15 was held on January 29, 2011 at the Canal Street Pub & Restaurant.

We would like to offer our sincere thanks to Dick Ehst and our title sponsor Customers Bank for their support during Golf Bowl 15. They were joined by 37 other corporate sponsors, 15 in kind supporters and numerous volunteers to help produce BerksTALKLINE's major fundraiser.

60 teams teed off to raise funds for our organization during a 6 hour period on January 29, 2011 at Canal Street Pub & Restaurant. The rafters echoed with shouts of joy for holes in one...and disappointment at that missed shot. Everyone appeared to be having a great time socializing with old friends and meeting new ones. The Party People added to the festivities that night. Steve Gelb and Boscov's once again displayed awesome opportunites for everyone at the 19th hole as donors attempted that "hole in one". Five local companies once again offered great prizes for this years raffle. The winners are noted in this newletter!

Nothing happens without the entire team...working and pulling together. Yes...the economy is difficult. Miscellaneous dollars have disappeared from all of our budgets...BUT...more and more folks are searching for services, looking for someone to listen and support them through their trying times. So THANK YOU Berks County for allowing BerksTALKLINE the opportunity to provide this free service to our community for the past 20 years.
